The mission of this coin is to never be mistaken for either actual currency or food.
This very special coin is made from the smelted front bumper of the original Herbie the Love Bug, which was stolen from a Hollywood studio lot and used in a series of drive-by moonings before the hippie driving it passed out and slammed into a jewelry store. The owner of the store who happened to also be a molecular scientist, liquified the materials and then fashioned the metal into everything from earrings to bracelets to belt buckles. It was later on when he grew bored with common jewelry crafting that he turned to a life of crime crafting illegal handguns and counterfeit currency. This coin was just such currency. Although having no monetary value, it carries the legacy of genius and craftsmanship that pioneered the geocoin craze that we witness today.
