About This Item

Apollo 11 insignia

Unfortunately the travel bug is disappeared somehow in the hands of Spaceflowerblue three years ago. I really don't understand this kind of people... I tried to contact him/her several times (without success). If somebody knows this user in Sweden, please notify him/her that something was forgotten by him/her... This person is an active geocaching.com user (last visit was on Thursday, 22 May 2014).

1. So, the first mission is Wapakoneta (Ohio, USA). (The birthplace of Neil Armstrong, commander of the crew)

2. The second mission is Rome (Italy), It is surprisingly the birthplace of Michael Collins (Command Module Pilot)

3. The third station will be Glen Ridge (New Jersey, USA). You won't believe it: this is the birthplace of Edwin Eugene Aldrin, Jr. (Buzz Aldrin, Lunar Module Pilot)

4. After these fundamental steps my bug have to go to the Kennedy Space Center (Merritt Island, Brevard County, Florida, USA).

5. ... and finally: The main goal for this bug is the landing site of the Apollo 11 project on the Moon. It is in the southern Sea of Tranquility about 20 kilometers (12 mi) southwest of the crater Sabine D. Maybe the coordinates would be useful: 0.67408N, 23.47297E. I hope that it is enough information for anyone.

Thanks for anybody in advance who will help my bug to reach the final destination! (Thanks for the wikipedia for some information. More details are available about the Apollo 11 project here.)
