"My name is Ozzie and I would like to travel the globe meeting Sheffield Wednesday fans. When I meet a fan I like to have my photo taken with them, and also like to hear their memories of supporting the club. My ultimate dream is to meet some current or former players."
Ozzie Owl was a mascot of Sheffield Wednesday F.C. For years he entertained the crowds along with his friends Ollie and Baz. In the summer of 2006 the club replaced the trio with a new mascot, Barney, causing an outrage amongst fans.
After years of pressure from supporters Ozzie was brought out of retirement in January 2009, making an appearance at Hillsborough alongside Barney, although it remains to be seen whether his return will be made permanent.
This Travel Bug has been released to celebrate Ozzie's return and also to commemorate the Owls' historic derby double victory against the Blades - in the 2008-09 season Wednesday completed a "league double" (wins at home and away) against bitter rivals Sheffield United for the first time in 95 years.
