Current Goal

DINKY HAS GONE MISSING. PERHAPS HE HAS RETURNED TO HIS HOME PLANET, BUT WE HOPE HE WILL TURN UP AGAIN. HE MADE A GOOD RUN AND GOT LOTS OF MILES AND SAW MANY PLACES. HE ESPECIALLY LIKED THE AMUSEMENT PARK. HE WAS TEMPTED TO RETIRE AND STAY WITH THAT FAMILY.
THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO HELPED DINKY ALONG!

About This Item

Dinky from Altair 4

Dinky needs to visit as many varied and distant places as he possibly can in order to understand how we Terrans live so that he can complete his reasearch for the Encyclopedia Galactica.

Dinky carries with him a passport from his homeworld of Altair IV and visa in which those who help him can write comments and short stories about his adventures. Dinky also has a companion (Dinky Jr) who is follwing in his father's footsteps. They would both appreciate any help you can provide.

Took Dinky to visit Blubird Springs. After his being left to the Lost Tribe he wasn't ready to go back into more tupperware so he continues on his adventures in Florida.

  • Fish at Blubird Springs Dinky loved feeding the fishes in the spring. Sorry no picture of Dinky until AmericanNurse can repair his smile.

Dinky has been rescued from the lost tribe by 4 girls and a guy(msDrag0n,AmericanNurse,RedRobin,FlSweetChick,and EricTheRed). The Lost Tribe had been holding him captive in a small plastic container with other captured individuals. Poor Dinky is sad after this harrowing experience, he's not smiling anymore. AmericanNurse will take him to the hospital to repair his smile. We will also be taking him around Florida to see some of the sites and hopefully he will enjoy his stay.

Well poor Dinky finally woke up as we got into the warmer southern states and enjoyed the rest of our journey to Disney. He was quite active down there too....joined us at MGM, EPCOT, Magic Kingdom and Typhoon Lagoon. He even rode Splash Mountain and got his picture taken on it! He survived his adventures here in perfect shape and was ready for some Rest and Relaxation near a beach somewhere so we let him come along on the rest of our vacation in Florida as we headed over to the Tampa area. He's earned a rest in a beautiful park near a beach in the Tarpon Springs area. We wish him well on the rest of his travels and will post a bunch of pics of his adventures with us soon.

  • Dinky wakes up Dinky finally woke up about the time we hit Virginia's warm weather and left the frozen north behind us.
  • Dinky makes new friends Dinky got to meet Walt, Mickey, Donald and the rest of the gang in Magic Kingdom!
  • Dinky and the Tree of Life Dinky loved Animal Kingdom in Disney and really enjoyed the Tree of Life carvings.
  • Dinky wanted to go home Dinky thought this was his ticket home at Mission Space in Epcot but it was only a simulated ride to space.....but he still thought it was SOOOOO REAL! Picture of Dinky with my daughter keeping him company.
  • Dinky goes for a ride! The warnings about severe nausea meant nothing to Dinky....he was ready to go on Mission Space!
  • Dinky Splash! Dinky enjoying a ride on Disney's Splash Mountain and he managed not to even get wet although the rest of the occupants in the log sure did! He dove in his plastic bag for cover at the last moment!

You killed Dinky, YOU.... 😮
Found poor Dinky lifeless trapped in a plastic bag in my cache. He wont speak or move at all!

Well, maybe he's just hibernating though with the cold weather and snow we have up here in upstate NY so I'll be bringing him back south to warmer weather with me this week. I'll find a nice new place for him to visit on my way to Florida.

It was hard to leave after spending a week with Sir Charles, because he is such good company! But Dinky had a chance to visit the home of Uncle Sam, that famed patriot of the USA. So off he went. He's a little claustrophobic in this cache, so I hope someone rescues him soon Bye, Dinky! Hope you get to the Great Wall of China!

I think Dinky needed a change of pace. I'll try to move him to a spot where he can be close to a US of A character. He'll stay with us for a week. Hope Sir Charles is nice to him!

  • Sir Charles & Dinky This was a good time for Sir Charles and Dinky to get acquainted. I suspect Sir Charles will let Dinky rest for a few days and I hope Sir Charles will demonstrate excellent Earthing-canine behaviors so that Dinky will leave us with a good impression!
  • Leave me alone! Sir Charles just wanted to sleep. He had a busy day geocaching and wasn't up to entertaining Dinky.
