My mission is to arrive in Savannah Georgia before June 2003.
Hi, I am Birthplace Bound. I am from Girl Scout Troop 120 in Needville, Texas, of the Girl Scouts of South Texas Council. In June 2003, my troop is going on a trip to the birthplace of Girl Scouts – Savannah Georgia. I want to beat the rest of my troop to Savanah. Hopefully I will be in Savannah when the troop arrives on June 10, 2003 so the troop can collect me and we can enjoy the birthplace of Girl Scouts together.
So if you are travelling east, even if just a little ways, please take me along. Place me in another cache and log me with any pictures you take.

We will be heading east soon and wanted to give this bug a ride. I am a former scout but won't say how long ago that was! 😁 Will be getting this placed soon.

This has to be the BEST travel bug we have ever retrieved! I am the leader of Junior Girl Scout Troop 6020 in Beaumont, Texas (San Jacinto Council). My daughter was so excited to have found this bug that she wants to personally drive it to Savannah so your troop can find it. (We have relatives in Atlanta) We thought it would be great to take the bug's picture with our troop at our Investiture next week and then will be glad to help it get closer to the birthplace of our organization. Texas Sing 'n Celebrate is going to be at the San Jacinto Monument soon and the bug might like to be a part of it before it heads east! Thanks for a wonderful travel bug experience!

As a Girl Scout leader in Allen, TX, I couldn''t resist when I saw that this TB was only a .5 mi stroll from work. Walked over at lunch time; perfect day - light breeze, georgeous sunshine. And I REALLY needed to get away from my desk for a bit.
On the drive home, the Bug sat on the seat next to me and mentioned that it thought that it might have time for one or two other adventures before it got to Savannah. The TB said that it would like to have it''s picture taken with some GS troops along the way. I''ve taken the TB home where it will attend the last meeting of GS Cadette Troop 1066 of the Tejas Council (Dallas-E Texas) on June 3. Once it''s been to the meeting and been photographed, we''ll send it on it''s way!
