Current Goal

Peter Pan TB wants to travel and have adventures as much as possible, and have his picture taken in new and wonderful places, with new and wonderful people. I March of 2010, he accomplished his first goal of having his picture taken with the Peter Pan statue in Kensington Gardens next to Hyde Park.

NOW, he would like to continue to travel the world, and possibly meet REAL Peter Pan's in the Disney Theme Parks around the world!! If you are going to a Disney Park, and would be willing to take his picture with Peter Pan, he would be eternally thankful!

About This Item

Peter Pan TB and his pal Tinkerbell

Peter Pan is the boy who never wants to grow up. He is from London, but lives in Neverland with the Lost Boys. He has an arch enemy, Captain Hook who hates him, because Peter cut off Hook's hand. Peter's best friend is the little pixie, Tinkerbell. When Peter visits London, he flies through the nursery window of Wendy Darling and her brothers.

Peter Pan TB wants to have the same kind of adventures, traveling and having his picture taken in new and wonderful places, and with new and wonderful friends.

But, Peter Pan TB especially wants to go to London and have his picture taken with the Peter Pan statue in Kensington Gardens next to Hyde Park.

The bronze statue of Peter Pan is in Kensington Gardens, next to Hyde Park. The exact location was chosen by Peter Pan's author, J.M. Barrie. Barrie lived close to Kensington Gardens and published his first Peter Pan story in 1902, using the park for inspiration. In his Peter Pan tale, The Little White Bird, Peter flies out of his nursery and lands beside the Long Water lake - on the spot where the statue now stands.

Barrie began planning the Peter Pan statue in 1906. He took photos of the six-year-old Michael Llewelyn Davies wearing a special Peter Pan costume to help a sculptor recreate his vision. In 1912, he found the man to make the statue, Sir George Frampton, and by 1st May that year, the sculpture was in place in Kensington Gardens.

We were hoping that we would be able to leave Peter in a cache by the statue in Hyde Park, however all the caches in Royal Parks have now had to be disabled and so that was no longer possible, therefore we have been waiting for Mr W to have time to be able to go for a lunchtime run to Hyde Park so that we could get a shot of Peter with the Hyde Park statue. The opportunity finally arose this week and here are the photos...
We will now find a suitable cache for Peter to continue his journey from asap.
