This TB (named "Karl Johan Johansson") is dedicated to the memory of Karl Johan Johansson (1818-1854). During 1851 to 1853 he was appointed by The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences to be physicist aboard the frigate Eugenie of the Royal Swedish Navy, when it made an around the world trip. This TB will be released in Uppsala, Sweden, the hometown of KJJ and in which his grave can still be found today in the Old Cemetery. The idea is that this TB shall visit at least one cache in each of the following 9 places Eugenie visited (however not necessarily in this order): Karlskrona, Sweden; Island of Madeira; Buenos Aires, Argentina; Honolulu, Hawaii, USA; San Francisco, California, USA; Sydney, Australia; Hong Kong, China; Mauritius; Cape Town, South Africa.
When this has been accomplished, the TB wants to return to Uppsala, Sweden.
