KASTEEL ALMERE
Kasteel Almere is een kasteel in aanbouw in de buurt van Almere in Flevoland. Het bevindt zich aan de Oude Waterlandseweg in Almere Haven en is tevens zichtbaar vanaf de rijksweg A6.
De plannen voor het bouwen van het kasteel dateren uit 1999; de eerste paal werd op 15 september 2000 geslagen. De kosten van het kasteel werden aanvankelijk op ƒ 60 miljoen geschat, later verhoogd naar ƒ 120 miljoen. Vanwege financiële problemen werd het bouwproject in 2002 stilgelegd. In 2005 werd het project opgekocht door het hiervoor opgerichte bedrijf Gravin (eigenaars: J. van der Graaf en het bedrijf Vink).
Naast een hotel en een trouwlocatie in het kasteel wil Gravin ook huizenbouw op het terrein. Om dit laatste mogelijk te maken is echter een wijziging van het bestemmingsplan nodig. In 2008 besloot het gemeentebestuur van Almere niet in te stemmen met een voorstel daartoe.
Het ontwerp voor het kasteel is gebaseerd op het Belgische kasteel Jemeppe in Hargimont.

CASTLE ALMERE
Almere castle is a castle under construction near Almere in Flevoland. It is situated on the Old Waterlandseweg in Almere Haven and is also visible from the highway A6.
The plans for building the castle date from 1999, the first pile was beaten on September 15, 2000. The cost of the castle was originally estimated at NLG 60 million, later increased to NLG 120 million. Due to financial problems, the project in 2002 shut down. In 2005 the project has been purchased by the company erected Countess (owners: J. van der Graaf and the company tick).
Besides a hotel and a wedding venue in the castle is also Countess housing on the site. To enable the latter is a change in the land required. In 2008 the municipality of Almere decided not to accept a proposal to that effect.
