Schwetzinger Schloss Microcoin

Schwetzingen erlebte ab 1742 sein goldenes Zeitalter, als Kurfürst Carl Theodor das Schloss zu seiner Sommerresidenz ausbauen ließ und mit dem Schlossgarten eine der schönsten europäischen Parkanlagen anlegte Die Stadt liegt ca. 10 km von Heidelberg und Mannheim entfernt und hat heute rund 22.000 Einwohner. Sie empfängt nicht nur zu den Festspielen, sondern auch zu anderen Veranstaltungen Künstler und Gäste aus aller Welt.

Schwetzingen enjoyed its “Golden Age“ after 1742, when the Elector-Palatine, Carl Theodor, had the castle extended and converted into his summer residence, while adding gardens that rank among the finest anywhere in Europe. The town is located in Southern Germany, just 10 kilometers away from both Heidelberg and Mannheim. It has about 22,000 inhabitants and it is the home and meeting place of artists and guests from all over the world, not only during its famous Music Festival but also during other major events
