A pig - The German bringer of luck
The pig is associated with good luck in German and is often gifted in the form of a marzipan pig on New Year's Eve.
Pigs was a sign of wealth and prosperity in the Middle Ages. Their owners would never go hungry. Pigs eats everything and they grow quickly. The expensive sale brings wealth to the owner.
So we all need to "have pig!" (good luck)
