    This was a cold, blustery, rainy day on the shore of Lake Michigan. The temperatures were in the low 50's, the winds were about 30 mph out of the northwest and it was raining lightly. We didn't spend too much time here, but did get some photos that we'll post later, along with some that we took in August to give you some contrast.

    After visiting the middle of the shore to shore trail caches in light rain, we're heading to the far west end to work our way back to the middle of the state. Next stop, Empire.

    Moving on again after visiting another of the shore to shore trail caches. As usual, photos will follow later.

    While waiting on weather, we visited another cache on the Shore to Shore horse riding trail that crosses Northern Michigan. There are 14 of these caches total, each of the first 13 contains a clue which is required to find and open the lock on the 14th cache. Our goal in this little mini-trip is to complete this series which we started in July. We'll post photos sometime next week from a high speed link.
