As an geodesist working at an university continuing and further education as well as presentation of new research findings are routine duties. This statement is valid for members of the Geodetic Institute (GIK, link (visit link) of the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). The KIT is a cooperation between the University Karlsruhe and the Research Centre Karlsruhe (Forschungszentrum). On chosen meeting locations GIK geocoins will be dropped in order to find their way back home to Karlsruhe.

This coin is dedicated to the meeting LVMC2010.
