GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite Systems) like the GPS of the US of America are widely used (everywhere, everybody). Therefore, teaching of fundamentals as well as details is one of the most important tasks of good state-of-the-art geo-scientific education.
Therefore, the Geodetic Institute of the Karlsruhe University (TH) is teaching besides other topics "Satellite Positioning" within the International Master of Science Programme "Resources Engineering".
This postgraduate master degree course "Resources Engineering" provides multi-disciplinary and professional training in planning and management of sustainable development and utilisation of water and land resources with particular reference to developing countries. It has components in applied natural sciences, advanced and appropriate technology, socio-economics, and management.
Responsible for this master course is the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Geo- and Environmental Sciences of the University Karlsruhe (TH), Germany. Especially Univ.-Prof. Dr.rer.nat. Josef Winter, Dr.rer.nat. Charlotte Kämpf, Dipl.-Kffr. Svenja Herbert (acad. assistant) and Ms. Maria Rieger (secretary). For more informations see www-reseng.bau-verm.uni-karlsruhe.de.
