One of a series of geocoins comemorating those that have won the Victoria Cross for their bravery in the air. Sgt Norman Jackson won his VC in 1944 when he, despite being wounded by in the leg by shrapnel, climbed out of his damaged Lancaster bomber to try and extinguish a fire on the wing.

This coin replaces an earlier one that became a victim of the Muggles!
