Large coin with heft. Unusual shape. Part of a series of Appalachian Trail coins. The front of the coins in this series (except the final coin) is the same. It has a matte dark green medallion. Inside the medallion is a white "A" and "T" as well as a light green stylized cacher. There is a mid sized commercial logo in commercial colors in the lower right of the medallion. The rim is all metal with brushed background metal texture and raised script. It reads "Geocaching The Appalachian Georgia To Maine". This is the "Maine" coin. Comes in a variety of metal finishes. This is the copper finish. Reverse has the same green in the medallion. There is raised brushed metal work for the outline of the state, an ammo can and the tracking number platform. The script is in white enamel and says "281 miles". The ammo can has a commercial "G" in white enamel. The trail on the state is done in red enamel. The rim, which mirrors the work on the front, says "Geocaching The Appalachian Pennsylvania". Very nice coin. --------------------------------------------------------------------------So many of my trackables have been muggled that I only release new coins virtuals. If you do not approve, please leave it for a cacher who understands. Thanks. BL

Thanks to the 2023 Christmas Day blizzard my daughter, JMVonFange, was delayed in heading home so we spent the bonus time together comparing our caching statistics including trackables discovered and looking through our geocaching pictures. JM has discovered significantly more trackables that I have mainly because while we were staying home during the pandemic she spent time online and spotted numerous TBs that were being shared virtually on various social media sites like Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube, etc. Thankfully, she still had a few notes that helped guide my search for the same trackables that she had already discovered. After looking at the TB page for each of the TBs that she had discovered, I found that a large number all belonged to several individuals and sent a message to them individually inquiring about permission to log their trackables. This travel bug was on the list that you shared with me.
