The empty box revealed the rumor And Team WATT as one did swoon Some vile reprobate gloomers Stole the everlasting moon They muggled the cache location With NO sensitivity Lord knows what constellation They've taken it off to be Leaving us to sigh Checking our alibi Oh, there's no happy for me Because the Moon's been stolen, see? I thought it was safe place Beneath the beneficent alien face Where E.T. cachers constantly beam It seemed the perfect scheme! Everlasting gloom Our wail echoed 'cross the heavens Call us gypsies, fools, and loons But we don't mean no harm In our find 'em, log 'em zoom So our buoyant mood is in full descent And our harmony's of tune When some evil, soulless gremlin Steals our carefully placed cocoon Leaving us to sigh Checking our alibi Oh, there's no happy for me Because the Moon's been stolen, see? I thought it was safe place Beneath the beneficent alien face Where E.T. cachers constantly beam It seemed the perfect scheme! Everlasting gloom They've gone and stole the moon... Anguish. Sometime on the 19th (ignore WandaTexas' date -- that event was 11/13) between the Villain's discovery and the next cachers, someone stole the 0001-E.T. ammocan with all the contents. We checked on it the 20th -- to drop in spare film cans for the run, and it was GONE. HEART BROKEN!!! I thought this was such a perfect place for this coin, and poof. SIGH I am so sorry -- and thinking vile luck on whoever stole it. [We keep hoping it was some really stupid cacher -- but no luck on that front so far.] Anguish!!!! The moon watches over this rotating orb What it dreams, who can tell? Does it feel surprise that a London friend Appears in Arizona as if by spell? As golden as the golden moon London Bridge didn't stay fallen down But glows in desert sunlight 'Cross a lake arm of this desert town. The moon was up -- but midday Which meant it saw most our play From dawn 'til past the twilight This was caching, Route 66 flight 800 Route 66s, plus bonus fun Today alone right at 740 done Kaching once, kaching again And you were there for it all, my friend. 739 caches today, 184 yesterday... yeah, we are finding caches! The full moon's up mostly in daytime Already past the horizon it's slipped But that doesn't prevent this luna From making a Route 66 trip! 800 caches and extras We're off for a heck of a ride In 10th mile leg dashes To cache this famous roadside!
