Current Goal

PLEASE pick up this coin, move it quick and far, and take a picture when you can. It is in a year-long contest (2009) with three other Travel Case coins to see who can pick up the most miles, travel to the most states/countries, and have the most pictures uploaded. Thanks for all you can do!!

P.S. I was in DEAD-LAST place last year as my coin disappeared in Month 4 ... take pity on this coin and keep it moving!

About This Item

Ramblin' Man's Travel Case

Three co-workers and myself will be starting another legislative session, which means we can't leave work -- leaving us with geocaching-itis. This diversion will give us at least something to watch while on GC.com! I need this coin to move as far as possible, to as many states/countries as possible, and upload as many pictures as possible! We will be watching it and I will be updating this page when necessary! THANKS SO MUCH!!

gg Very weird story, how I took possesion of this cute coin... Yesterday evening my husband and I decided to make a maintenance visit for my cache called "Ringerbrunnen" http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?guid=b97cd32a-be66-4e87-9b5b-0d0bcab29da5 in the middle of Braunschweig. When we came along by bike, I saw a person just glimpsing over to the fountain, back to a display, to the fountain, to the display, and he looked to be as inconspicuously as possible... 😌

It was alleykat3 gotyou, we had a short but nice talk about Braunschweiger caches, and he asked me for a nice box to drop his coin. Well, it seems he didn't find something proper later on, and so he asked me in his log this morning for the favor to pick it up. So the coin was deposited an catched at the hotel reception desk and it was a quiet curious job to get ist out there (*hem* blush "A guy named ... placed an envelope for me at the counter. My name is..." Big grin from the clerks... "You said the right password, here you are." evenbrighterblush hem Thank you! )
I got it! 🤭👍😉

The little suitcase took a nice trip through Braunschweig city with me (fotos will be loaded soon) and we'll spend the next weekend somewhere else, Hannover or Bielefeld perhaps... let's have a look. Greets, Laborfee 😁

I had a business trip to Germany this week and brought along this GeoCoin from searching_simpsons (to whom I owe a great debt, by the way, for introducing me to geocaching!)

Passed through Paris and Hanover on my way to Braunschweig. Braunchweig is a beautiful place with a charming city center paved with cobblestone roads and old-style churches and German architecture. Surrounding this is all the shopping malls and big buildings that you'd find in any modern city.

It was great to meet the owners of this cache. The world seems so nicely small when you meet people with similar interests so far from home. :)
