Small coin with mid heft. Black nickel. Unusual snow board shape. The front has bright enamel colors and script that reads "never board caching". Not much room for detail but has bold enamel colors. The front and reverse have "C2" on them. The reverse has delicate texture in the center enamel. Fits in a film canister or hide-a-key cache containers. A fun coin.
Info on the coin: In 1900, the Austrian Toni Lenhardt invented the monoglider, the first forerunner of the snowboard. He was so successful that monogliding competitions were held in Bruck an der Mur from 1914 onwards. It is said that in 1929 the American Jack Burchett was the first to think about how to make a mobile surface from chipboard, horse reins and clotheslines that was suitable for snow. However, his idea was purely private and never reached the market. The intellectual roots of snowboarding lie in surfing. In 1963, the two surfers Tom Sims and Sherman Poppen (both USA) experimented with old doors and large wooden boards, on which they mounted tabs in order to reconstruct the surfing feeling on snow.
So many of my trackables have gone mugggled that I only release new GCs as virtuals. If you do not approve, please leave it in the cache for a cacher who understands. Thanks. AL

Thanks to the 2023 Christmas Day blizzard my daughter, JMVonFange, was delayed in heading home so we spent the bonus time together comparing our caching statistics including trackables discovered and looking through our geocaching pictures. JM has discovered significantly more trackables that I have mainly because while we were staying home during the pandemic she spent time online and spotted numerous TBs that were being shared virtually. After looking at the TB page for each TB that she discovered that I didn't, I found that a number of TB Codes necessary to discover the trackable were included on the TB Page itself or intentionally or as a spoiler in the photo gallery. Sometimes there was an attempt to obsure or hide the TB Code that was not entirely successful making it fairly easy to determine the TB Code needed to discover the travel bug.
