Current Goal

I am the mascot for the Iowa Geocacher's Organization. My goal is to visit a cache in every county in Iowa. Please do not take me out of the state.

There are 99 counties in Iowa. Before you drop me off in a new cache mark down the county or counties where you have taken me. I am traveling with a sheet that contains a map for you to use. Please keep me and my log in a baggie. If my baggie becomes worn, please replace it. If my Iowa county map becomes torn or worn please print off a new one that is on this page.

I look forward to seeing all the great places in Iowa!

Headed to my parents farm for a weekend of bowhunting and leaving straight from work in Anamosa made the perfect situation for getting IGO Bucky some more counties. I decided to try and make each county cache something unique to the area and the World's Largest Strawberry fit the bill for Clayton Co! Great hide too, definitely will test your log rolling skills!

On the way home from my parents place I made a few stops to help IGO Bucky TB get some Iowa counties checked off. My grandpa cultivated an interest in pioneer cemeteries as he was very active in Benton Co's Pioneer Cemetery Commission and I remember going with him during the summers I spent at their farm. I have driven past this little place hundreds of times and finally made a stop, great little cache with some neat history

Realized I have had this one way toooo long without helping it along...my apologies! Will help it get some counties and then move it along. Thought this was the best representative of my home county of Winneshiek after growing up on a dairy farm here!
