Operation Travel Bug Rescue Successful!
Earlier this week I was perusing potential spots on the map for a new geocache hide when I had a peak at one of the Travel Bug hotels I had found awhile ago where I had dropped some travel bugs in. To my shock and dismay, I realized that the travel bugs I dropped in were still listed in the cache.....over a year later!
I looked closer and saw that the cache had only been found 3 times in that time period and from what i could tell from the logs I was pretty certain they were still there. Fast forward to this weekend and I made the trek out to the muddy road for a look and sure enough there they were!
I have once again picked up your travel bug and just wanted to let you know it is safe. I'd also like to offer my sincere apologies, if I had've realized they would sit in the cache that long I would have never dropped them in there. The cache is a bit remote, but nothing crazy so I would have never guessed...
I will make sure they get back in circulation again, either via an upcoming event or I will place them in the next cache I place, which will get good foot traffice being new.
