The Degree Confluence Project is a World Wide Web-based all-volunteer project which aims to have people visit each of the integer degree intersections of latitude and longitude on Earth, posting photographs and a narrative of each visit online.
The total number of degree confluences is 64,442 however most are in the ocean. The project defines which are 'primary' ( and visitable) points.
As of August 7, 2012, the project reported that the world has 16,345 indexed primary degree confluence points.and 6,132 of them, in 185 countries, have been visited at least once.
