This was the travellling teddy of Mrs Eileen Mary Bain AKA our Granny. Given that Gran, a Radar Aimer in WWII, was a fairly adventurous soul, we thought we'd send teddy off to relive some of her adventures. Granny never left the UK, so we'd be grateful if Teddy kept his furry feet firmly in Blighty.
He'd love to visit any kind of military installation, especially where there was an AckAck battery.
Gran was reported for duty on March 6th 1942 in Northampton, thence to Devizes. She was stationed at, or spent time in Walney Island, Rochester, Anglesey, Chorlton, Gosport,Manchester and Wakering. Teddy would dearly love to go to visit any of these places (and lots more in between) Once he's done some of these, I'll post some holiday locations for him to visit!
A little furry teddy in a hand knitted jacket and hat (ahhhhh bless!)
