I received this key chain from the War Amps in recognition of being a long time supporter of this excellent charity.


Through the CHAMP program, The War Amps is there to help child amputees and their families from the very start, with financial assistance for artificial limbs, peer support, regional seminars and programs like Matching Mothers.

 

The War Amps is a Canadian nation-wide registered charitable organization operated under the direction of war amputees. Since its inception, The War Amps has had as its hallmark the unique philosophy of “amputees helping amputees.”

 

In 1946, the Key Tag Service was launched as a sheltered workshop where war amputees could not only work for competitive wages, but also provide a service to Canadians that would generate funds for the organization.

 

The Address Label Service was introduced in 1972 to provide year-round employment for the disabled staff at the Key Tag Service.
