About This Item

When I was a boy scout, I always thought the Turks Head Knot neckerchief slides were the coolest neckerchief slides that existed. However, I never had one. Now, my son Danny is a Tiger Cub and I'm their Den Leader. Remembering my love of the Turks Head Knot neckerchief slide, I made myself one.

This is our first travel bug and Danny's first year in Scouts. To celebrate these two things, we created this travel bug attached to a Turks Head Knot neckerchief slide just like the ones I was always so envious of. Now, let's use this to promote geocaching in Scouting (and maybe vice-versa).

If a scout picks up this bug, wear the slide (with the bug attached) to your next den or pack meeting and use it to start a discussion about geocaching. Try to get some fellow scouts involved in re-hiding the bug! Don't forget to post a picture of you wearing the slide with the bug and post it so everyone can enjoy seeing the bug travel to different dens, packs, troops, teams, posts, etc.

If a non-scout picks it up, no problem. Just join the scouts! OR, just re-hide it like a regular travel bug. The more the bug moves, the more impact it can have.
