Current Goal

The goal of this bug is to travel all over the country visiting different small town restaurants and diners. He likes to have his picture taken with the restaurant if he can, for the memories. Right now, after a long run, he would love to get back to his owner in Boise ID.

About This Item

Well, this travel bug started out at a good friend of mine's restaurant in Astor, Florida, the restaurant is a small diner called the Astor's Mule Restaurant, so we thought it would be neat to start a travel bug related to the restaurant.

 

The Astor's Mule wants to travel as much as he can, and see as many small diners as he can. If you can take a picture of him with the diner and post it with your log for the travel bug.

Picked up the Mule in Boliqueime, Portugal... This was our first geocaching experience so we were excited to find this little Travel Bug!

Chantal (my daughter) thinks he's so cute that needs a permanent home in the sun (what better place than Portugal for that?), but I convinced her that he prefers to keep travelling. We'll take him out for dinner and some pictures here in the Algarve, and then drop him off in another cache either around here somewhere, maybe in Spain, or if he decides he wants to go back to the States we could send him to a geocaching friend in California... (are they allowed to travel by mail?) We'll see what he wants to do.

We're so glad we found him, it's great to have another pet with us (even if it's only temporary...) Thanks!

Retrieved it from "Travel Bug HeadQuartes" in germany and brought it to Portugal by car crossing Luxembourg, France and Spain. At time of pickup I didn't know its goal. I'll drop it soon in a cache somewhere in Portugal.

First travel bug ever found. Found with Krafty1 and pup, Nelson. Unfortunatley don't have a digital camera or scanner so can't provide any pics of mule at restaraunt. Will be traveling to Dayton, OH this weekend and will drop off in another cache there. By the way, took mule TB b/c college I am attending has 2 mules named Pepe and Babe. Have ridden them many times.
