My mission is to travel from Portland, Oregon to Dallas Texas. Then from Dallas, Texas to Sofia, Bulgaria in Europe. Once I visit the beautiful city of Sofia, I want to travel back to the U.S. and wind up in GC1RAFD Saturnman's Almond Joy (my owner's cache) in Acampo, California. Please travel me along on my journey to see my dear friends Jim & Katia's hometowns.
A good friend of mine, Jim, and I quickly became friends when we became roommates in Portland, Oregon. We were both new to the city, knowing no one. Jim had just returned to the U.S. from Bulgaria where he had spent time in the Peace Corps. There he met a wonderful and sweet woman, Katia.
After a few months in Portland, Katia flew from Bulgaria for her first visit to the States. She had a wonderful, yet difficult time here. The culture shock took a toll on. With Jim and I by her side, we turned it into a very positive trip for her. I feel very honored and privileged to have met her. Katia gave this keychain to me as a gift for always keeping her encouraged on her visit.
Jim and Katia were married the end of May 2010 and this travel bug is to honor this occasion. Jim & Katia are very special people to me and I wish them a long happy life together! ��
