HI, my name is Esmerelda and I am an oboe playing duck. My owner is an oboe player and I would like to meet any other geocaching oboe player. Please be sure to log it if you play oboe. I would like to travel anywhere in the world where music is appreciated and loved by everyone. I would like for my travels to include many classical music cities like Vienna, Chicago, NewYork, Paris - where the F.Loree Oboe Company is located, but I will be happy to simply go where there is music. Norton, Ohio is a must on my journey. The explaination is below.
This TB is dedicated to my band director, Mr. Thomas E. Knapp of Norton, Ohio who had faith in me and let me try out playing the oboe for a summer. I went on to play oboe in his band for three years and continue playing this wonderful instrument today. My continued involvement in music is largely because of his influence. He passed away of a brain anneursym in 1981 and today September 27,2009, the day that I have published this TB, is the 6th anniversary of the day that I also had a brain anneurysm but survived and continue to play music thanks to his training and confidence in me.
