Hi, my name is Daphne the Dolphin.
I’ve really enjoyed visiting my relatives
here in Scotland, but am missing my
friends and home in Monterey Bay,
California. Please help me get back.
I’d love to visit some other forths,
bays and estuaries along the way, too.
As my way of saying thank-you,

Native to the North Pacific Ocean, the Pacific White-sided Dolphin (Lagenorhynchus obliquidens) is a three-toned dolphin of average size which readily befriends other marine mammals and is frequently seen riding the bow waves of passing boats. Its primary food is squid, herring, salmon and cod.
Although not considered endangered, between 1978 and 1990 up to 89,000 of these dolphins were killed by being trapped in drift nets - until the United Nations imposed a ban on these nets in 1993.
