Teil der Coinsammlung der Kanustation Mirow / poseptun

Eins von drei Motiven, herausgebracht 2008 von einer Gruppe in Idaho ansässiger Geocacher. Wie häufig bei Geocoins aus Idaho ist die Form achteckig, weil sich der Staat sich gerne als "Gem State" - "Edelsteinstaat" bezeichnet. Es gibt von dieser Coin drei Editionen (Kupfer, Silber, Gold), und zeigt jeweils Fotos von drei speziellen Landschaftsmotiven aus Idaho (Goose Creek Falls, Wildhorse Creek, Lake Pend Orielle) - also 3x3 unterschiedliche Coins.

Auf der Rückseite sind drei Motive des Cachens in diesem "Edelstein-Staat" zu finden: ein Kajakfahrer, ein Kletterer und ein 4x4 ATV. Deshalb ist diese kleine Serie natürlich prädestiniert für meine Sammlung.

Diese coin habe ich 2019 in einem aufwändigen Verfahren mit nahezu unendlichem Schriftwechsel mit der ehemaligen ownerin erworben - und dabei auch fast alle Facetten des Imports mit dem deuschen Zoll durchspielen dürfen. Also ein durchaus prägendes Erlebnis für mich...
