Current Goal

I want to travel to Denmark and back just as my owner's forefathers did during the 17th, 18th and 19th century. They allways returned with lot's of stories from their adventures so a nice log and or picture of my whereabouts to share with my owner would really be cool. That way he gets a little smarter and wiser with every trip I make:) Thanks to "Maingrid" and "Speurhond Robby" I have been able to get to Denmark an even to Norway. Now it's time to travel back to Antwerp (Belgium) to pay a visit to my owner. So if you find me, try to move me to the South-West. (Even if it's just a short distance). Every bit helps and will be appreciated:)

Koperteut

This is one of two "100 Cache Finds Achievement" coins I ordered. I released this one in my one hundred cache find "De Koperen Teut" while the other one stayed home. I had chosen this geocache already a long time ago for marking this milestone since my mother comes from the town "Luyksgestel" where this cache lies and our forefathers were "Koperteuten". "Koperteuten" from Luyksgestel traveled around from the 16th till the 19th century to sell copper pots and pans and to repair old pots and pans. Most of them went to Denmark where they bought their wares in the "Crusauer Kupfer-Messing Fabrik". "Koperteuten" allways returned home in the winter for Christmas and Old and New Year to spend time with the family, sharing experiences and telling stories of the places they had seen. And so they returned, each year a little smarter and wiser:)
