The Limmat starts its journey in downtown Zurich, sourced by the Lake Zurich.
After going into the Aare river and then forth into the Rhine river, the water ultimately arrives in the North Sea in the Netherlands near Rotterdam...

During summertime, the Limmat is popular for taking a swim, as the water is very clean and about 20-23°C warm...
