Current Goal

The Copper Voyager ventures forth to sail all over the world, visiting places of Beauty, Wonder, Magic . . . and Danger!

For the first month of travel, it participated in the HQ Duck Dash Global Trackable Race in search of global recognition and eternal bragging rights. Unfortunately, it spent most of its time in one cache.

Taken to these interesting places by these interesting people:

Papago park in Phoenix, Arizona by paulio10

  • Papago Park - Rock with Hole in it You can hike all the way up to the hole in this giant rock, in Papago Park. Great place for bicycling, hiking, right next to the Phoenix Zoo.
  • Papago Park - Desert Statues Some unusual artwork can be discovered while caching around Papago Park. I would never have found this one if it wasn't for Geocaching. I hadn't seen it before, and I've lived here for 22 years.
  • Papago Park - natural desert environment It's fun hiking around Papago Park, a lot of it looks like this. There are small lakes here and there in the distance (palm trees)
  • Papago Park - Gov Hunt's Tomb There is a cool white pyramid on the grounds that happens to be Governor Hunt's Tomb, you can hike right up to. There's a secret with the small parking lot not far from the camera's location here: if you look carefully, sometimes you can see Giraffe's and Ostrich's running around in the distance. (part of the Phoenix Zoo)
