About This Item

Frodo the Cat

Frodo the Cat is a memorial for my long time companion Frodo who was a cat.
Frodo died October 2002 at the ripe old age of 18.
I went to Norway in September of 2003 and I thought it would be a good opportunity to do something to honor my friend.

Past GOAL: Frodo wanted to go to Oslo, Norway. He arrived there before his owner (Species5618) arrived in early September 2003. When Species5618 attended his cousin's wedding. Frodo got a ride back to California with Species5618.

He started his journey on Saturday, January 25, 2003 in the Phoenix Beach Cache
While still in California he stayed with Robbie's Family, MikieP, again with Robbie's Family and finally with Two Dollar Bill. Who found him a ride to Sweden with Flamingo.
Thursday, May 22 Frodo is turned over to Kobdalis in Stockholm,Sweden.
Saturday, June 28 Kobdalis places him in Tysker toppen in Oslo, Norway!
The following Monday Stein's cat, Silje, told him about the visitor roaming the woods just outside Oslo. She kept asking him to go and pick Frodo up so that they could meet.
Frodo then hung out with Silje and Stein visiting caches in Norway and Sweden until I arrived in Oslo to pick him up.
On Monday, September 08 I retrieved Frodo from Stein.
Frodo then traveled around Oslo, Kongsburg, Drammen and to the family cabin in Blefjell with me before we returned to California.

Frodo is basicly retired now but still expects to go on vacation with friends occasionally.

Thanks to all who helped him on his way,
Species5618
