"Á ferð um Ísland" is Icelandic and means "Journey across Iceland", and that's the coin's one and only goal.
I've been to Iceland in the summer of 2000 and it was amazing! Unfortunately I didn't manage to go there again since this first and only visit. That's why I created this coin. I hope one day I'll go there again and maybe I'll meet my coin there again.
The cool silver color of the coin and the fierily red inscription symbolise perfectly this glacially volcanic island.
Very important: Once in Iceland, leave this coin there and don't bring it back. There are enough caches in Iceland for the coin to visit.
