Current Goal

To travel the world letting others know about the wonder of Sanibel Island. Dale & I visited the island almost 11 yrs ago and fell in love with it! We are launching this tb on our 10 year wedding anniversary from Sanibel Island, where we were married.

About This Item

Sanibel is one of the unique barrier islands of the world. The island is gifted with great sandy beaches and an abundance of shells. The best shelling is found on the beaches of Sanibel and Captiva Islands. The islands rank tops in the world for shelling because of geography. The abundance and variety of shells have made Sanibel and Captiva Islands shell-obsessed. People come from all over the world, drawn by the song of the seashell.

    • Sanibel Captiva Chamber of Commerce Stop in here on your way into town. Loads of information in there and free maps and brochures on restaurants, activities and lodging.
    • Jerry's of Sanibel Jerry's has a little bit of everything. Jerry's is a stand alone complex that consists of a grocery store, retails shops and Jerry's restuarant. There is a tropical garden on the lower level and it has multiple tropical birds in cages that you can look at and talk to. The birds are very beautiful. The retail stores have a little bit of everything in them. There is a covered parking deck for customer convenience.

    • City Hall This is where Dale & I were married on 8/28/1999. (FYI, there are VERY clean restrooms located on the second floor and we have always found them to be open.)
