Current Goal

Matt has been a Paramedic for a long time and needs a vacation. Matt wants to get as far away from an Ambulance as possible. Going to the Boundary Waters in Minnesota? Please take me with you. Backpacking in Montana and the Bob Marshal Wilderness? I don’t weigh much…and won’t take up much room in your pack. Matt wants to go to the most remote places in the U.S. and Canada for some much needed rest. Cold and rain or hot desert sun…. It doesn’t matter. Matt left his backpack and Hurst Tool at home..He also changed out of the scrubs...You'll know its him.

About This Item

Matt Medic

The only “catch” is, Matt would like his photo taken when he reaches his destinations. Any photos provided would be greatly appreciated. Matt understands that he can't be hidden in National Wilderness areas or Forest Services controlled areas. If you could just get him in a cache that is close, maybe a backpacker or canoe adventurer will finish the rest, and return him to another cache. The ultimate goal is for the Owner to retrieve Matt from a cache near a remote area, and take Matt on a trip in that area. Be kind to Matt, nobody thinks about a Paramedic until they need one. Any pictures taken would be greatfully received at rabidog@sbcglobal.net. Upload to this site or if you have no way to scan and e-mail pictures...please contact us and we will send a snail-mail address. Thanks...The Crew looks forward to hearing from Matt!

This traveler seems to be missing from the cache it is reported in. While waiting for it to turn up, you should move it location unknown, this will remove the icon from the cache page for the location it is not at...
If you need instructions on how to do this, please contact me.

Unfortunately this bug is being reported as missing from the cache.

Until it resurfaces, perhaps the bug could be “Marked as Missing” which will move it to an unknown location.

The option is in the pull-down menu on the bug's page that reads "Recalculate Distance".

Thanks

Grab It (Not from a Cache) 4/13/2003 Team Kennedy grabbed it   Visit Log

I found Matt at the I 80 Waukee Cache.
I send Matt North in the next couple weeks. He is in pretty good shape. Missing his back pack and his claw looking thing. Otherwise in great shape.

Retrieve It from a Cache 4/12/2003 spinwebby retrieved it from wakefield woods cache Iowa   Visit Log

Picked up Matt from under a bridge near Ames, Iowa. He's in great shape, the cache was dry and clean, and the kids have enjoyed taking him with us on our geocaching tour of Ames. We will try to drop him either along the interstate where he can get a ride to another remote locale, or we'll drop him in another rural part of Iowa or Nebraska in the next couple of weeks. We'll be happy to email a picture later.
