hollora is happy to announce, just a few days shy of 3 years after its release, this Holiday Adoption Mission coin has come to its owner. So much has changed in these three years.
I am thankful to wrg1 who was willing, after picking up this coin, to mail it to me. Why you may ask? Well, the cache - Bone Headed Moose - is archived. I am not caching as much as I did.
Life changes and in December of 2010 my dear husband was diagnosed with 2 more kinds of cancer. He lived on, never complaining, until he took his own life by suicide on 1/31/2012.
Caching was something we did together (he rode with me) to pass the time and enjoy our great state. The entire year of 2011 was filled with doing things and making memories with family and friends. I truly believe without Geocaching and the many places, people and things it introduced us to he would not have struggled on as long as he did.
So I am doing ok. Not caching as much, am selling out home of 10 years and will be moving. I don't buy coins as much (finances don't allow) but do still enjoy them.
This one is a beauty and he would have loved it! I am seeing this coin as a sign - a sign of good things to come. The blue on this coin is beautiful and reminds me of Ralph's handsome blue eyes.......the blue of a beautiful sky..........and the silver for our 25th Anniversary which we celebrated and in March 2012 it would have been our 30th..........some things are just not meant to be.
Again - thanks to all who kept this safe.......this is a coin which could have easily gone astray - but that was not meant to be. This coin will forever remind me of the good in people and it's arrival just before Thanksgiving that we should always be Thankful no matter what!
