In Loving Memory of Harold Floyd Finch
July 27, 1933 - June 6, 2019
This Geocoin was a prize my Grandfather, Old Hound Dog, won at the Mob Flash Event in Las Vegas, Nevada in 2009. He was a retired policeman, had been an active Lions Club member for over 30 years and was a former Marine. He was an avid geocacher and travelled the country in an RV. When he got too feeble for his motorcycle, he joined a geocaching scooter club in Henderson, Nevada.
He passed away on June 6, 2019.
I found his coin and didn’t know what it was. I googled instructions on how to log it and what geocaching was about. I created my own geocaching premium account on June 10, 2019. By what would have been his 86th birthday, on July 27, 2019, I had 100 cache finds.
Grandpa’s coin stays in my wallet and I take it to every cache. I only log caches that are memorable and take pictures.
Some day, I will make a book of our pictures from all our adventures.
