Oak Island...

…zwei Jahrhunderte DNF – was für ein Spruch auf dieser tollen Coin! Die Doku-Serie kommt im TV und ab und an bleibe ich dabei hängen; irgendwann dann beim Surfen auf diese Coin gestoßen und da war klar: die muss her!! Endlich hat es geklappt! Wie bei wikipedia zu lesen ist, geht die Schatzsuche auf das Jahr 1795 zurück. Bis heute sind noch Aktivitäten im Gange, die dazu dienen, den dort vermuteten Schatz endlich zu finden. Bis auf ein paar kleine einzelne Artefakte (die allerdings auch angespült sein könnten oder auf anderen Wegen die Insel erreicht haben), ist hier noch nichts gefunden worden! Die Hieroglyphen auf dem Rand der Coin stellen den Spruch der Steintafel dar, der die ganze Suche überhaupt erst ausgelöst hat: Vierzig Fuss tief sind 2 Millionen Pfund begraben!

…two Centuries of DNF – what a cool sentence on a great coin! The serial-documentation is on TV and from time to time I’m stepping in watching it; one day just saw this coin while browsing the web and from that time on it was for sure: it has to be part of my collection! Now it worked!! As far as wikipedia is telling, the treasure hunt is going back tot he year 1795. There are still activities until today that are used for finding the excpected treasure on that island. Just a few little artefacts (that also could have reached the island through the Atlantic ocean or on other ways) have been found – but no big treasure by now! The inscription around the edge shows exactly what the stone plate, that started all the searching activities, said: Forty feet below two million pounds are buried!
