About This Item

Kitchemonedo is a Potowatomi word than means "great spirit"...

I feel this is a fitting name for this travel bug as she begins her journey near the Chicago portage on the banks of the Des Plaines River.

Sadly, the Potowatomi are long gone from these woods and rivers, but hopefully Kitchemondo will remind you to appreciate the great spirits you encounter on your own journey!

    Thanks to Bowmen for moving the bug offshore. I was pretty surprised to see Kitchemonedo was in the Bahamas. Maybe I should fly down and retrieve it, eh? A tough assignment, but I'd pack the sunscreen!

    We left Kitchemonedo in a quaint historical park located in the Lehigh Valley (PA). It is currently enjoying life next to a serene stream.

    Kudos and thanks to Team Dakota & Cheyenne! I wanted to write, as there were a couple of "cosmic" points I noticed about where this TB is these days.

    First, I just finished up reading a book about the AT. Second, Berks County is where my mom was born!
