Current Goal

My goal is to hike the Appalachian Trail by traveling thru all 14 states starting in Georgia and going to Maine. Please pass me to the next state.

About This Item

Here are a list of the states I want to travel to. Georgia/North Carolina/Tennessee/Virginia/West Virginia/Maryland/Pennsylvania/New Jersey/New York/Connecticut/Massachusetts/Vermont/New Hampshire/Maine!!!! When I travel thru New Hampshire, I would like to stop at Limmer Boot shop in Intervale N.H. (they make the best boots in the world!!!)and have one of the workers tie a black and white boot lace on me before I travel back to the Alvarado Cache in southwest Virginia. Thank You.

    Quoddy has already posted some details. So let me add some more.

    Coming in from the north, it's about 3000 foot of vertical scent to get to the cache (remember the green mountains go up and down!). Arrived at gz, and had the cache within minutes.

    Took the TB. left a domino set and an AT coin. (A very good place for an AT coin).

    Incredible sunset from the firetower. Had a Tenfidy Imperial Stout carried in from CO to celebrate cache #1,000!

    Left sunday morning to continue south bound to complete section 2. Rained for 4 hours. Drenched feet, blisters, etc. My legs are shot, but it was great!

    Well I got the boot back on track ..he is back on the AT and hopefully he gets moved along the trail. It was a great hike with about .75 miles of bushwacking to get to the AT! Good luck on your travels.

    When I saw that the Boot's mission was to hike the AT I knew I had to get him back on track so next weekend I will deposit him into another cache on the AT.
