Enjoy Remember where you were when man first walkded on the moon
Large coin with heft. Excellent design with 3-D work. The coin has a dull copper medallion, rim script and artwork. The background metal texture is brushed copper. The front medallion shows Armstrong taking the first step onto the moon's surface. The 3-D work is very detailed and shows in the work of the lunar surface, the ladder and the rim art. There is a commercial "G" in the medallion but it does not detract from the artwork. The rim is done in bright blue glitter enamel. The script says "July 20, 1969 20:17:40 UTC" and "The Eagle Has Landed". There are two sets of lunar boot prints in the rim. The reverse has a lunar boot print with a commercial "G" that is a bit over powering. The medallion work also includes script that says "40 Years FTF Neil Armstrong, "N 0 40' 26.69", E23 28' 22.69". The rim mirrors the front in blue glitter enamel. The script says "One small Step For A Man, One Giant Leap For Mankind" and 1969, 2009" Part of a series, each with a different enamel color. The dull copper and antique silver seem to set off the design the best. Most of these coins do not phograph well. Euro coin. Excellent work. -------------------------
Interesting in that this series about the US success in the space program was minted by a Euro company. ----------------------------------------So many of my trackables have been muggled that I only release new GCs as virtuals. If you do not approve, please leave it in the cache for a cacher who understands. Thanks GR

Thanks to the 2023 Christmas Day blizzard my daughter, JMVonFange, was delayed in heading home so we spent the bonus time together comparing our caching statistics including trackables discovered and looking through our geocaching pictures. JM has discovered significantly more trackables that I have mainly because while we were staying home during the pandemic she spent time online and spotted numerous TBs that were being shared virtually on various social media sites like Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube, etc. Thankfully, she still had a few notes that helped guide my search for the same trackables that she had already discovered. After looking at the TB page for each of the TBs that she had discovered, I found that a large number all belonged to several individuals and sent a message to them individually inquiring about permission to log their trackables. This travel bug was on the list that you shared with me.
