Hallooooo!

Gellért Hill got name after Bishop Gellért (Gerald) who wanted to induce pagans to become Christians and who was hurled down from the hilltop in a barrel in 1046. According to legends, despite the martyr death of the bishop, witches had their regular meeting on the hill in the late Medieval times. The hill is often mentioned in the 17th century witch trials as the location of dances and meetings of the witches.
