To go to geocaches in all 50 states. Once you place me in a geocache in a new state that I haven't been to yet, use me to punch out that state's two-letter abbreviation on the card attached to me.
Keep me moving, please - even if you can't get me to a state I haven't been to yet.
This is a common, ordinary, everyday, run-of-the-mill hole punch.
Sometimes it's hard to tell where a travel bug has been and if it has completed its goal when you're at the cache and don't have access to the geocaching.com site. Well this travel bug keeps up with its own progress (with your help). The travel bug itself is the record of where it has been and where it needs to go to complete its goal.
If you can get it to a state that hasn't been punched out on the card yet, GREAT!! If you can't, please go ahead and move it to another cache anyway. High traffic caches are preferred, as long as they are secure and don't have a history of being muggled or stolen. Don't drop me in event caches, please!
