Show your creative side - grab this Travel Bug and take a picture of something interesting in Iowa. This is not a cache camera, so don't take a picture of yourself! Opportunities to share your artistic side are few and far between, so give this some thought. I present to you this challenge; are you up for it?
I will award two honorary prizes. One prize will be awarded to the photo that best represents the Spirit of Iowa. The other prize will be awarded to the best photo overall with an emphasis on creativity. I'll have the tough job of deciding which photos win a prize; all decisions final.
There are a couple of rules...
- As with all Travel Bugs, you need to log that you have taken the bug ASAP so people know you have it - don't wait until you've taken your photo(s) to post that you have the bug.
- All photos are to be taken within the State of Iowa.
- When returning The Iowa Photo Bug to a cache, the cache must be within Iowa.
- To give everyone a chance, please limit yourself to no more than 2 photos.
- To make sure you get credit for your own photo(s), you may want to post a note with a brief description of your photo(s).
- When the camera is empty (the film counter counts down to zero), please post a note on the cache page, and move the bug back towards Des Moines so smillersmiller can retrieve the camera and develop the pictures.
- This Bug wants to keep moving and see what Iowa has to offer, so please don't hold this bug for longer than 2 to 3 weeks. If you will be traveling to someplace neat in Iowa four weeks from now, then wait until just before you leave to grab this bug - don't make everyone else wait a month.
The fine print: If for any reason (say a defective camera), there aren't enough usable photos collected for the contest the first time around, I reserve the right to reissue this travel bug to collect more photos. Any usable photos from the first round will be combined with photos collectd the second round for the contest. All photos (except any deemed "innappropriate") will be scanned and posted to the Iowa Travel Bug page.
