We found this cool traveling 2 cents in Georgia, USA. Looks like he has missed being logged in, before we found him. Took him to hang out in our frequently-visited easy cache near the mall and Interstate 85, overlooking a huge stormwater detention pond, currently the home of a couple of very large beavers. In this county, we had a 500-year flood storm event in September 2009. It cost our county more than seven million dollars to repair the damage to storm water pipes and public roads. Stormwater detention ponds like this one keep the high-volume storm surges from scouring the stream channels and keep the "first flush" of stormwater which contains all the surface pollutants, (non-point) from directly entering our streams. The pollutants settle out in the detention ponds and biodegrade naturally. Now you know what those detention ponds are for! That's our two-cents worth. Thanks for the opportunity! The gee! twins.
