About This Item

Ready to get going

Hi, I am Addie. I am six years old and this is my 2 cents worth. I am traveling with my buddy Lazlo from Cartoon Network. Please keep us together and take some pictures of us at different places that we visit. Please tell me some facts about the place that Lazlo and my 2 cents visit as it will help me learn more about our wonderful World that no text book can teach me.

We found this cool traveling 2 cents in Georgia, USA. Looks like he has missed being logged in, before we found him. Took him to hang out in our frequently-visited easy cache near the mall and Interstate 85, overlooking a huge stormwater detention pond, currently the home of a couple of very large beavers. In this county, we had a 500-year flood storm event in September 2009. It cost our county more than seven million dollars to repair the damage to storm water pipes and public roads. Stormwater detention ponds like this one keep the high-volume storm surges from scouring the stream channels and keep the "first flush" of stormwater which contains all the surface pollutants, (non-point) from directly entering our streams. The pollutants settle out in the detention ponds and biodegrade naturally. Now you know what those detention ponds are for! That's our two-cents worth. Thanks for the opportunity! The gee! twins.

Silly me - did not recognize Lazlo for who he is. Lazlo and Addie's neat 2-Cents Worth Coin are happy and together in my hands. I had originally planned on leaving them in a cache somewhere in Tennessee or North Carolina during a trip there in about 2 weeks, but will find a suitable cache for them here in Texas and move them on soon. Sorry for the confusion.

Did not see buddy Lazlo in the cache. The two must have gotten separated. We'll move Addie along in the North Carolina area when we get there in a couple of weeks.
