This medallion was issued by Texas Instruments in 1988 to honor Jack S. Kilby, the inventor of the integrated circuit.
Since ICs are everywhere, it is appropriate that this medallion travel anywhere and everywhere and perhaps wind up in the Dallas, Texas area, home of Texas Instruments, my employer for 31 years.
