This "PROXY" of an actual geocoin has a purpose so that it may travel around the world and be transported from Cache to Cache as quickly and as often as possible, and to have it's travels quickly & accurately logged on the geocaching.com website! This is a laminated copy of the The GC&P Club June 2009 Geosheriff Geocoin!
I have had several of my geocoins go MIA so I have decided to send out a facsimile of my coin so that it may travel while the actual coin can stay safely in my collection.
I know this is not as fun as retrieving and handling an actual coin, but it is more likely to be moved then kept, and you will still receive the neat icon. If you don't like Proxy's please just "discover it" and leave it in the cache for another geocacher. Thanks!
