Very idyllic walk along the water. Hard to believe you are in the Bronx but it always has a way to remind you that you are in NYC.

Visited 3/29/2026 Perfect Tommy took it to CITO in Co-op New York - .11 miles  Visit Log

For two and a half people, we did pretty good!

Visited 3/29/2026 Perfect Tommy took it to Co-op New York - 14.26 miles  Visit Log

It is possible to hide a stocked ammo can in the Bronx. Despite the nearby empties and disgusting comforter, the partiers and/or homeless never stumbled on this one.

Visited 3/28/2026 Perfect Tommy took it to The Puzzle Calendar Challenge New York - 7.41 miles  Visit Log

Finally an MC Challenge that I know I qualifty for! Even then, there was a wrinkle, MC signed in on his own cache? Still counting it as an FTF for me.

I enjoyed this puzzle and had the right idea early. Again the problem was putting in the correct answer when you had a number of possible variants. Luckily I followed the KISS method and finally got the Homer of Joy. Sometimes the "helpful" hints don't get you any closer.

The question you have to answer to get the coords can be answered by a number of different correct answers. However, a slur allegedly attributable to Henry VIII is not the answer to the question "What was the problem?" And he purportedly said that before the wedding. Thank God you can spam Certitude. Another regrettable "Can you guess what I'm thinking?" puzzle. Westchester is rife with them lately.

Visited 3/22/2026 Perfect Tommy took it to "Let's Go Exploring" New York - .83 miles  Visit Log

Little worried about the footing but was able to cross the stream - twice - and manuever around the rocks with only the odd scrape (as evidenced by the bloody cache print-out).

Visited 3/22/2026 Perfect Tommy took it to Historical Tidbit #2: My Fare Lady New York - 4.14 miles  Visit Log

Thought this would be easy when I identified the Elefant. But the puzzle isn't literal. So all that research on German panzers that ended up in the water was for naught. And the "helpful" hint alluding to the Disney monorail announcement was clear as mud. Got a nudge but even then it took extensive Googling and then hit and miss guesses on the Certitude to get the exact answer. I don't like the "Can you guess what I'm thinking" puzzles.

In reviewing my failure to find this cache, I belatedly noted that leenie had sent me not one but two pictures with the hide location circled. Serves me right for focusing ruthlessly on the first (which was too high). Today I walked right up to it - it was right where indicated in the second photo.

After this Challenge got published, my work was cut out for me.

    377 New Jersey 253 (Need 124)
    233 Connecticut 191 (Need 42)
    144 Pennsylvania 72 (Need 72)

Took less than 2 years but could have taken a lot longer if MAC the Lad had decided not to go to college in PA. Lowest find count of all qualifiers/finders when I logged my find.
