About This Item

Great Great Great Uncle Freddy has been lying around doing nothing for quite some time now and he seems to think it is time for a little traveling. After he attends Lady Ghosts Great Birthday Bash, he will be hitting the road. Or in this case, the air! Each town has its own Haunts and it seems he knows plenty of the ghosts doing the haunting. If each Geocacher would be so kind as to place the old boy some place close to a Haunted House, even if it’s a couple of miles away, and tell him the story behind the Haunted House, he will make their acquaintance and maybe bring back more stories. There is no magic distance to go or number of states to visit. The old boy has all the time in the world so let him go and have his fun. Some day he may return to Spokane but until then he would like to travel the countryside and talk to as many of his old friends as he can find. One word of caution! Watch him closely on Halloween! He’s a pretty sneaky old guy and loves to have fun with the little “Ghosts and Goblins”

Found this great great great uncle freddy on my first GeoCaching hunt :-)

I found him in the Birthday Cache and he is really close to a place in Denver with a lot of history - Cheeseman Park - and has many haunting stories. Here is a description of the park:

Cheeseman Park used to be a graveyard. When they made it into a park they were supposed to move 5,000 bodies buried there but they didn't- they left about 2,000 bodies under the park. ("You moved the tombstones but you left the bodies didnt you?" Just like the movie Poltergiest huh?) There are many stories about this. The park was built on top of a cemetery. Its been reported in several of the local newspapers that only the head stones and not the coffins were removed from at least one section many people have seen and felt strange things there.
